In this series of pages we are collecting information to guide road race course measurers in using consumer type GPS units as ancilliary aids in the measurement of road race courses. These GPS units are not sufficiently accurate to replace the Calibrated Bicycle with a Jones Counter for accurate measurement, neverthelss they can be useful for specific secondary tasks such as: Reference point finding, and Mapping Courses.
