Terrain Flatish with one long. steep hill midway. 
Surface Town streets/Cycle Path disused railway line/country lanes/tarred paths/gravelled paths. No grass. 3 km is on unsealed paths. 
Configuration One lap clockwise with separate short sections from the start and to the finish up to/from a common crossover point.  
Section of Road Full width apart from RH pavement Henson Park/Great Western Road/Victoria Avenue and LH side of road in Glynswood. 
Right Turns Shortest possible route except A358 into Glynswood where runners must go round tree. For details of this see diagram B on page 6 of report. 
Comments From the cycle path up to Knowle Lane there are steps up to the higher level for about 8 metres. Level planks following the slope of the ground alongside the steps were used for the bicycle front wheel when measuring.
