| Terrain | Milton Keynes City Centre is at the top of a hill, so the start is gently downhill for the first 2.8km and the finish is uphill for the last 2km. Otherwise the course is fairly flat. |
| Surface | Milton Keynes Grid roads, roads and redways cycle routes. There is a small section near Broughton of around 400m and another of around1km close to the finish through Campbell Park on a leisure route compacted gravel surface. |
