Race Type road 
Terrain Mainly flat with 1 hill up over railway and 1 up slip road of flyover. As the course has an out and back section these are repeated on the way back. there is a further short sharp hill up to the Olympic stadium 
Surface All on Tarmac roads and park paths - built up housing and industrial areas. 1km in Olympic park. Approx 1km in West Ham Park. 
Configuration across park out on to road then an out to a turn round point and back on the same route -then back into park by a different route to the way out. start and finish line are in the same place. 
Section of Road Some of the roads are totally closed on these the whole road can be used. all other roads runners will be kept to the left hand side by barriers/marshals 
Right Turns Runners will be marshalled to centre of road on approach to the turn then directed into left hand side of new road. 
Comments Police will be in attendance at all major junctions and will control road closures.
