Terrain Mainly flat with one longish steep down hill in first mile Repeated on 2nd lap (between 5 & 6 miles)One long up hill drag 
Surface Mixture of Tarmac, paving slabs, hard packed cinder/dirt tracks & grass. Apart from 1st mile on each lap the whole race is on footpaths at edge of road or tracks across open country or park land. The section of grass is on very flat, firm, short cut grass 
Configuration 2 laps. Each lap consists of one large loop and one small loop. 
Section of Road On the road section runners can use the whole left hand side up to the centre white line as this half of the road is closed to traffic. On footpaths, pavements & tracks use whole width. 
Right Turns None on roads 
Comments All road crossings will be controlled by the police.
