Terrain Generally flat, but with a short, steep climb just after the 8km mark. 
Surface Mix of urban and rural roads. All on tarmac surfaces. 
Configuration Single lap, incorporating an out and back section from approx. 4.5k to 7k 
Section of Road On the busier town sections of the route, runners should keep left. From 4.5k to 7k, runners should also keep left. Generally, pavements are not allowed, but this will be difficult to police in the quieter residential areas.For the final 1k runners must k 
Right Turns There is only one significant right hand turn onto Shore Road approaching the 2k mark. Runners should be directed not to cross the centre line.
