Terrain Undulating course with some significant hill to climb in the first 6 KM followed by downhill in latter half of race. 
Surface Mostly city streets and tarmac paths in park sections. 2 sections within parks are off-road on hard packed dirt or gravel path. The total length of the off-road terrain totals approx 1.3 KM, which is within the permitted distance for a half marathon. 
Configuration Mostly clockwise loop, single lap. 
Section of Road Mixed, with extensive road closure and traffic management. Some sections are left lane. Others are full width. Section from 5 to 11 K include oriel road, chapel level and Dunnikier Way are run on the wrong side of the road in a coned off lane.
