Race Type road 
Terrain A mixture of road and canal towpath. Road section is quite flat with minor undulations. Canal towpath is flat all of the way. 
Surface All of the route is tarmac. Some fallen leaves on sheltered parts of the canal towpath but tarmac underneath. 
Configuration First 2K is anti-clockwise through a housing estate then out and back along the canal. 
Section of Road Runners will be kept on the LHS of the road at all times through the residential area. Some of the runners may use the pavement but will gain no advantage. 
Right Turns Runners will be marshalled on LHS of road through housing estate. Only one right turn, at a point where there are bollards across the road, so runners will be able to take the direct route. All other turns are bends in the road, but runners will be marsha
