|Terrain||Both Courses are Hilly, they have a common Finish Line, and whilst both races start on Queens Drive they are separated by some 480m. The 5k is almost a complete circuit around the rocky promontory of Arthurs Seat and contains a challenging ascent.|
|Surface||The race surfaces are of generally good quality Tarmaced roads and footpaths.|
|Configuration||The 5k is almost a complete single lap the 10k is an elongated figure of 8.|
|Section of Road||The measurement assumed that the whole of the road was available to the runners up to the point where the two routes split 4.6k. Thereafter the 10k measurement did not cross the central white line until the end of Old Church Lane where the shortest line w|
|Right Turns||Shortest line taken at right turns.|
|Comments||5k event in conjunction with a 10k route. Courses concurrent to 4.6k point.This measurement was a of a previously measured but uncertified course a very good result was achieved with only 0.5m variance.|
