Terrain Flat course with mostly good tarmac surface. Country lanes and A roads with hedges in good condition. Single loop with 2 mile A road out and back section. Footpaths back into Thirsk along A61 
Surface Tarmac roads and footpaths 
Configuration Anticlockwise Loop with out and back section 
Section of Road Newsham Road both carriageways. A167 out and back section RH carriageway only on both out and back. Remainder of A167 both carriageways. A61 until footpath LH carriageway only close to edge as open road. Then footpath only to left turn into finish. 
Right Turns None 
Comments Mostly Closed road event, shortest line allowed except for out and back section which is 2 way, run on the right carriageway up to central white lines, the section on the A61 from roundabout to be run on left side of LH carriageway open road last 2 miles
