Terrain Generally a fairly flat course with small undulations in parts and one short sharp uphill section at approximately 3m 
Surface The first 6m are run on tarmac with the final m being on grass in front of the House  
Configuration The route is a single but complex loop, which starts within the grounds of Burghley House then has a short stretch within Stamford town centre before returning to the estate for approximately 1m followed by 2m on closed country lanes before the final 2m  
Section of Road Runners should run as directed by marshals on the day, but the whole of the paths within the estate should be available and where the race is on open roads I was advised that there will be full road closures in place for the event and that this has been a 
Right Turns As directed by marshals, but the shortest line was measured throughout
