Terrain Mostly flat with a few small but steep rises. 
Surface Mostly completed on unmade paths with a few sections on road/pavement/tarmac. 
Configuration Out on the North side of the Tyne and then back on the south side of the Tyne. 
Section of Road Runners have full width of the road for the intial half mile and then again as they run to the bridge in Wylam. On the bridge they must stay on the pavement. When on paths runners must not leave the path and run on grass verges.
